Kroger Stores Issue Allergy Alert on Dark Chocolate Products due to Undeclared Milk

Kroger stores in Michigan are recalling select bulk dark chocolate products following the GKI Foods LLC recall of dark chocolate products due to an undeclared milk allergen.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

There have been no reports of illness to date.

The recalled products were sold in bulk food bins (self-service) in Kroger stores located in the state of Michigan.

The Kroger stores in Michigan have removed these items from sale and initiated its customer recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased recalled products through register receipt tape messages and phone calls.

The issue was discovered by the manufacturer, GKI Foods, LLC, and was communicated to Kroger by the distributor, Lipari Foods.

Customers allergic to milk who have purchased any of the above products should not consume it and should return it to a store for a full refund or replacement.
