Airlines and Transportation

We know how difficult it is to travel while managing food allergies. Airlines in the United States lack a consistent policy with respect to food allergies. Some airlines will grant you pre-boarding permission and make an announcement regarding your family member’s food allergies, while the next airline won’t provide a thing. Some airlines continue the practice of passing out peanuts to passengers while others have voluntarily moved to different snacks, yet those are also not necessarily food-allergy friendly.

This issue is a major focus at FAACT. We will work with the airlines and U.S. legislators to secure a consistent policy with every airline so that your family can safely travel.

More information will follow about this important topic. In the meantime, if you’d like to help with this cause and/or have pertinent information, please contact Eleanor Garrow-Holding, President and CEO.
