Stone Independent Research, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in EnhanceRx Dietary Supplement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 13, 2013 - Stone Independent Research, Inc. of Syracuse, NY is recalling 15,657 units of EnhanceRx, a dietary supplement, because it contains undeclared milk (whey protein). People who have an allergy to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

EnhanceRx is manufactured for and distributed by Secure Online Shopping Cart, LLC and sold nationwide via internet sales. This affected lots entered the marketplace on June 1st, 2013.

EnhanceRx is a dietary supplement packaged in a white plastic bottle containing 30 capsules per bottle. There are two lots affected by this recall: # 23002 (Exp. 06/20/2015) and # 23003 (Exp. 11/15/2015).

No illnesses have been reported to date.

This problem was found during an FDA inspection of the production facility. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that EnhanceRx containing whey protein (milk) was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the production and packaging process.

Consumers who are allergic to milk and purchased the affected lots of EnhanceRx are urged not to consume these lots.
