Product Notice Statement from Starbucks Regarding New Pistachio Beverages

Starbucks
It is Starbucks goal to create a welcoming environment for all customers. We provide information about our products online and in our mobile app so customers can make the best decision for their specific dietary needs. We also inform customers that we cannot guarantee our products are allergen-free because we use shared equipment to store, prepare, and serve them.

Starting Jan 5, 2021, Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada are offering a new espresso beverage, the Pistachio Latte which features sweet flavors of pistachio and a salted brown buttery topping paired with Starbucks Signature Espresso and steamed milk for a cozy beverage crafted to offer comfort this season. It contains pistachio butter, which is made from pistachio nuts.

The Pistachio Latte was originally created for the opening of the Chicago Roastery in 2019. Ever since the first Roastery opened in Seattle in 2014, the innovative offerings at Starbucks Roasteries have inspired new beverages in Starbucks stores, including Nitro Cold Brew, and seasonal favorites such as the Cascara Latte, Smoked Butterscotch Latte and Juniper Latte.

"To our customers with allergies: We openly handle several allergens throughout our stores, including dairy, soy, tree nuts (e.g., almond, coconut, etc.), eggs, wheat, and others.

While we take precautions to keep ingredients separate, we cannot guarantee that any of our beverages or foods are allergen free as we use shared equipment to store, prepare and serve them. Examples of shared equipment include the espresso machine steam wand, blender and pastry case. Please consult your doctor if you have questions about food allergies, so that you can make the decision that is right for you."

Additional information regarding the Pistachio beverages:

1. The Pistachio beverages are being offered for a LIMITED TIME only through March 2021 or until supplies last.

2. The Pistachio Sauce ingredient is "pumped" into the cup; it is not added to any of the pitchers.

Again, Starbucks cannot guarantee our products are allergen-free because we use shared equipment to store, prepare and serve them.
