Food Allergy Teen Advisory Council
FAACT's Teen Advisory Council consists of teens (ages 11-18) with food allergies from around the country, which is a one-year term. Teens have the opportunity to help develop educational materials and initiatives, write articles for FAACT’s newsletters and blogs, contribute content for FAACT’s Web site, and mentor other teens and youth. FAACT’s Teen Advisory Council will help develop key message points and tips on how to manage food allergies in school, extracurricular activities, dining out, dating, and more.
Teens are expected to complete a project each month assigned to them. Teen Advisory Council members will also have the opportunity to participate as volunteer teen counselors at FAACT's Camp TAG and receive community service hours, as well as facilitate sessions at FAACT’s annual Teen Conference.
The application process for 2017 closes on December 30, 2016. Please contact Eleanor Garrow-Holding for the 2017 FAACT Teen Advisory Council application.
