FAACT Sponsored Another Fabulous FABlogCon in Denver!

Just last weekend food allergy caregivers, advocates, food allergy bloggers and more gathered to unite together at The Food Allergy Bloggers Conference in Denver, Colorado. The first FAB Conference was held in 2013 and has quickly become one of the most anticipated Food Allergy Blogger events of the year.

This annual event was started by Jenny Sprague of Multiple Food Allergy Help. This conference differs from others as it brings together all those in the food allergy community: parents, caregivers, advocates, medical professionals, bloggers, brands and more. The conference offers to tracks of sessions for attendees to follow. The dual tracks offer expertise on disease management and the other on blogging information.  This is a perfect chance to connect with experts on both subjects.

Attendees this year were able to attend informative sessions on Allergy Therapies, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Parenting Teens/Tweens with Food Allergies (session sponsored by FAACT), Advanced Labeling of Food Allergens, Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine, Avoidance vs. Adequacy, Emotional and Social Literacy in Living with Allergies and Caring for Care Givers. On the blogging track, attendees were able to learn about Running their Blog as a Business, New Social Media Strategies, Pinterest, Videos, Food Photography, Taxes, Fighting Blogger Burnout and more!

The price of the conference ticket includes meals during the conference. Dietary restrictions are collected ahead of time, which gives the trained on-site chefs plenty of time to tailor the food allergy friendly menus. Each year the food is labeled clearly and prepared with care. FAACT’s Board Member, Chef Keith Norman, is also there overseeing all culinary needs.

Hardly ever did you see a face without a smile. Attendees relish in the fact that this is a safe and comfortable zone. The phrase I heard most all weekend was, “These are MY people, everyone here understands.” It is true. Nothing can compare to the feeling of someone else understanding, especially when that someone else has truly walked a mile in similar shoes!

FAACT Leadership Team and Board Members attended the event and was a proud sponsor of the conference. Interested in joining the fun at #FABlogCon next year? You can learn more, here.
